Since new borns are chubby amd wear diapers the waist could be loose atleast 2 inches.
Although i like the style as it doesn't have regular elastic and buttons. This style will not create uneasiness to new borns colic problems

You removed all the washing labels that is very good thing but still there is size chart and little bum marketing tag attached at the back of each cloth. I have to cut it out each time and it’s not easy to remove. Either print size, no tag or make tag such tht it is easy to cut off.
